With yet another T20I series triumph in his kitty, Rohit Sharma is certainly going in the right direction as a captain. There might come a day in the near future where he will be given the leadership responsibilities in one or the other format going by how he has been leading the side.
Against the under par Windies side that apart from the final game failed to throw any fight, India won the series 3-0 comprehensively and will now travel to Australia with all the confidence they need. The final game of the series was a cliffhanger, but the Indians somehow managed to crawl through to the winning mark.
Rohit also registered the 4th century of his T20I career; most by any cricketer in this format of the game. The biggest challenge of his career lies ahead in the next few months as the Australia tour will be followed by the ICC World Cup 2019, two events he will be desperate to make an impact.
Rohit turns meme-material
BCCI’s official Instagram handle posted a picture of Rohit Sharma, which soon turned out to be a great meme material. Rohit had reacted to a catch which fell short of Washington Sundar. Sundar was bowling the last delivery of his third over when the chance was produced to dismiss Shimron Hetmyer who was batting on 25.
This is the picture posted by BCCI:
It didn’t take long for the social media universe to make merry of this opportunity and they quickly turned Rohit into Harry Potter. As we can see in the picture, the Indian stand-in captain’s pose seemed like he was on a broom which we see in the Harry Potter series.
People in the Harry Potter universe use these brooms to fly around and play Quidditch. Within a span of hours, Rohit Sharma turned Rohit Potter or “Rohit Harry Potter Sharma”.
Here are some of the best memes made on this pose by the Hitman:
