India had been completely dominant in the ongoing six-match ODI series against South Africa before they blipped in Wanderers to suffer a shock loss. The home side won the rain-curtailed game by five wickets and kept the series well and truly alive. Despite thumping performances on the tour from the team, Hardik Pandya has endured a poor run which is not helping the team’s cause. However, Twitterati is livid with him and wants Virat Kohli to drop him for the upcoming matches.

Pandya began the gruelling tour with some stunning show with the bat as he smashed a fearless 93 in the first innings of the first Test at Newlands after the team had lost 7 wickets under 100 runs. He also impressed everyone by picking wickets in the second innings when the other bowlers were looking jaded. His all-round skills were hailed by everyone and the fans felt like next Kapil Dev was in the making for India.

Flop show started

However, as the tour has gone deep, Hardik Pandya’s graph went down consistently. It all started from the second Test match when he was run-out carelessly without grounding his bat despite being properly in his crease. Even the last game which India won famously, he didn’t contribute much with both bat and ball. Moreover, his poor run continued in the ongoing ODI series as well and is struggling to even bowl full quota of his overs as the fifth bowler.

India’s chances in the fourth ODI were badly hurt as Pandya failed to bowl five tight overs in the absence of Kedar Jadhav. More often than not Kohli has to use his part-time bowler because of the all-rounder’s disability to bowl his full quota. Overall he has completely failed to impress with only 26 runs in 3 innings with the bat and only a solitary wicket in the last ODI with the ball.

Twitter was unhappy and poked fun at him in their messages indirectly suggesting the Indian captain to drop him for the remainder of the series.

Here’s how they flooded in their tweets against Pandya:
