Twitterverse cannot stop trolling Pakistan-Australia T20I series trophy

When you follow a particular sport, very rarely do you keep an eye on the details about the eventual prize that the winner would get in the competition. On most occasions, the focus is on the teams, and on the players, and on how they fare up on the match day. However, even before the Pakistan vs Australia T20I series commenced this season, the fans have a whole new story to troll on the social media.

It is not an everyday story to see a tournament trophy make the news headlines, unless it is a coveted trophy like a World Cup. The Pakistan vs Australia T20I series, known as TUC Cup has garnered a lot of attention on the social media. Well, the attention does not seem to be the kind of attention the organizers would have hoped for.

The fans have mercilessly trolled the trophy on Twitter and the fans just cannot stop coming up with memes on the trophy. It all started off with the International Cricket Council (ICC) coming up with a tweet to troll the series trophy. Yes, you read it right! It was the ICC that started trolling the trophy. They shared a picture in which the Australian captain Aaron Finch and the Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed are seen holding the trophy before the commencement of the series.

The trophy has a big biscuit model appended to it, which is tickling the funny bones of the fans. The fans mocked the design of the trophy. Some even suggested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to come up with better designs and sponsors in the future.

Commenting on the series, Pakistan will be hosting Australia in a 3-match T20I series. All the three matches will be played in Dubai. The first T20I will be played on October 24 and the subsequent matches will be played on October 26, and October 28 respectively. Prior to the T20I series, Pakistan beat Australia 1-0 in the 2-match Tests series.
