International cricket finally resumed in Pakistan with the three-match ODI and T20I series between the Men in Green and Zimbabwe. On October 30, Friday. Babar Azam is leading Pakistan at home for the first time in One Day International at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium while Chamu Chibhabha, Zimbabwe skipper will also be hoping to commence the Pakistan tour with a victory.

The visitors got their first breakthrough in the form of Ali who was lbw on the delivery by Carl Mumba. The right-hander was soon followed by skipper Azam who failed to contribute with the willow. At the end of the 50 overs, Pakistan could post a stiff target of 281 on the board owing to 58 off 75 deliveries by Imam-ul-Haq followed by a knock 71 runs off 82 balls by Haris Sohail.

Blessing Muzarabani and Tendai Chisoro emerged as the top wicket-takers for Zimbabwe with two wickets each while Mumba and Sikandar Raza had one each to their name.

Imam-ul-Haq involved in a comical run-out

After the first innings of the ODI, the opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq is all over the news but not for his century. The left-hander was involved in a hilarious run-out with Sohail in the 26th over and gifted his wicket to the opposition. After hitting the ball straight to the backward point, Imam was continuously watching the ball and hinted to his counterpart Sohail for a single. This prompted Haris to run blindly towards the other end. However, at the end moment, Imam ran back to his end which resulted in both the batsmen diving at the same end.

Though Imam was ahead of Sohail in completing his dive he lost the touch with his bat and thus was declared out by the telly umpire. This poor cricket from the batsman left the viewers in splits and he is constantly being criticized on social media for the same.
