Tymal Mills is incredibly tough to face and hopefully he gets the England nod: James Vince

England cricketer James Vince has heaped praise on left-arm pacer Tymal Mills. Both Vince and Mills play for the Southern Brave side in The Hundred tournament, and Vince believes that Tymal Mills deserves to be picked in the England side.

Adding that Jofra Archer is currently not available for the England side, Vince opined that Mills has got all the required variations up his sleeve.

Vince further reckons that Mills is a capable fielder, and can also strike some lusty blows with the willow in hand as well. Vince was impressed with Mills’ bowling and added that he is incredibly tough to face.

“I think he (Mills) deserves it. In my mind, it would make sense with Jofra not being available, someone who can bowl 90 odd miles an hour, and he has got the change-ups. He is more than capable on the field, and he can actually strike a few with the bat now.

“But, in terms of his primary skill, his bowling, to have the change of pace that he does, to bowl 90mph and then the skill of the slower ball and the accuracy that he has got makes Mills incredibly tough to face,” said James Vince in a video posted by Cricinfo.

James Vince also stated that this is the first time that he has played with Mills, and the left-arm pacer is a reliable customer. Vince concluded by stating that Mills is a very easy bowler to captain as he knows exactly what he wants.

“Obviously, this is the first time I have been in the team with him, and game in game out, he has been so reliable and knows what he is doing, knows what he wants, and is very easy to captain. So, yeah, hopefully, he gets the nod,” concluded James Vince.

Tymal Mills has experienced a start-stop career in the England jersey. Even though he made his debut for the England outfit in the year 2016, Mills has managed to play just 5 T20Is for the England side and has picked up only 3 wickets as well.
