UAE T20X League: AB de Villiers picks the top five emerging players

The UAE T20x League is just around the corner. The league will be played with five teams of 16 players each for 24 days starting from 19th December 2018. This is the first T20 League that is planned to be played in the UAE. AB de Villiers, who will be making his comeback onto the cricket field after quite a while will be the biggest attraction of the league.

The Proteas batsman earlier retired from all forms of international cricket after the conclusion of IPL 2018. He is the global ambassador of the league. Along with Shahid Afridi, Eoin Morgan, David Miller, Andre Russell and Kumar Sangakkara, he is one of the icon players in the tournament. A total of 22 games will be played during the course of the league.

These cricketers are expected to set the stage on fire and be a major attraction. Amongst all these talented cricketers, AB de Villiers feels that five players are expected to grab everybody’s attention.

He named Dan Lawrence, Jamie Overton, Shimron Hetmyer, Paul Stirling, Qais Ahmed among his top picks. Paul Stirling is the most experienced player of the lot while the others have also grabbed a lot of headlines in recent times. The batsman took it to Twitter to name these five cricketers.
