After the Indian side was wrapped up for 311 on the second day of the practice game against the County Select XI, the bowling unit showed their immense flair in the first session. The pace trio of Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah, all reaped rewards and this is a huge sigh of relief for all the Indian fans to see the speedsters display their fiefdom in England.

Umesh Yadav, who has been an important asset of the Indian Test side, has so far scalped three wickets in the game. His first wicket came when he dismissed Jake Libby in the 9th over. The batter looked to drive the beautiful in-swinger from Umesh but it went past him to hit the middle stump.

The pacer then got his second wicket of the day in captain Will Rhodes who departed with just 11 runs to his account. In what came as an outstanding delivery from Umesh, Rhodes couldn’t read the ball as it hit the off-stump and he had to make his way back to the pavilion with the team score 56-4. Watching the good form of Yadav, the fans are already intrigued and are happy watching the pacers do well in the host nation.

Siraj and Bumrah also looked impressive

Jasprit Bumrah also picked up his first wicket of the England tour whereas Washington Sundar’s dismissal gave Siraj his first wicket in England. Siraj looked quite impressive throughout his spell and sent back Sundar off an excellent delivery which the batter edged to Rohit Sharma at second slip.

The fast bowling unit of India was in a spot of bother in the WTC final which brought them under the scanner. Bumrah had gone wicketless and concerns were built on the line-up. However, this practice match that is aimed to provide some good game time to the players would be crucial for them. KL Rahul also displayed a great show with the willow hitting a century. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja was impressive too with his knock of 75 that allowed India to put a total of 311 on board.
