Shubman Gill was fondly known as the Don Bradman of Under-19 cricket for maintaining an average of over 100 in Youth ODI matches. With the batting strength in the KKR line-up, Gill couldn’t get a chance of batting in top three which is his natural position. He likes to bat against the hard ball, play his shots and even make use of the field restrictions.

However, Gill aggregated 203 runs in the 11 innings he batted averaging 33.83 and maintained a strike rate of 146.04. His best knock was against CSK when he was promoted to No.4 and he responded with an unbeaten 57. With this knock, Gill became the first teenager to score an IPL fifty batting at No.4 and lower.
