Chris Gayle is a happy-go-luck character and he never shies away from expressing himself. Though his nature has drawn him flak quite a few times, it has also helped his fandom grow. It’s known that the Jamaican is an entertainer on the field, but even of the field, he keeps his fans engaged. Mostly on Instagram, he keeps posting pictures where he can be seen, enjoying his heart out.

However, now, the Universe Boss has decided to bid goodbye to the social media platform. Rather, the southpaw is set to make his debut on Tik-Tok, a platform popular among the young generation. Even as he logged out of Instagram, he posted a video where he can be seen, dancing.

He captioned the video and wrote, “#iAmTheMovie – Imma logout from instagram on this note!! Catch me on #tiktok where the #UniverseBoss will #rock ✌🏿 #iThankYouBye #iToldYouImTheGreatestOfAllTime 😉🕺🏾💃🏻 #40ShadesOfGayle #KingOF2020 👑 🇯🇲 #IMLit,”

Chris Gayle playing in the 2019-20 BPL

Gayle is currently in Bangladesh, playing in the 2019-20 Bangabandhu BPL. The 40-year-old is representing the Chattogram Challengers, who are already through to the playoffs. His first match was against the Rajshahi Royals where he managed 23 off 10 balls with three sixes and a four. The hulk-like batter hammered Afif Hossain Dhrubo for 22 runs in his first over to announce himself.

But Kamrul Islam Rabbi cut short his knock, finding his outside edge. He is next scheduled to play against the Royals itself in the penultimate match of the round-robin stage in Mirpur, Dhaka. The Challengers are on top of the ladder and will look up to Gayle to deliver in the playoffs stage.

Prior to the BPL, Gayle had a torrid time for the Jozi Stars in the second edition of the Mzansi Super League. Back in September, Gayle played for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the CPL and scored a masterful ton against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, though the knock came in a losing cause.

As far as his international career is concerned, there’s no confirmation over when he will hang his boots. He last played in the ODI series versus India back in August 2019.
