Unmukt Chand gets married to girlfriend Simran Khosla

Former India cricketer Unmukt Chand got hitched to his long time girlfriend Simran Khosla on November 21 (Sunday). He retired as an Indian cricketer earlier this year and opted to play cricket in the USA while also securing the Big Bash League (BBL) contract with the Melbourne Renegades to become the first player from India to do so.

Chand took to his official Twitter handle on Sunday to confirm the news of his marriage with Simran. He also posted a few pictures of the ceremony even as some of the videos of the marriage ceremony went viral on social media. The marriage, reportedly, was attended by only a close friends and relatives. Simran, his wife, is a fitness and nutrition coach.

“Today, we decided on forever! 21.11.21. #SimRantoChand @KhoslaSimran,” his tweet read as he celebrated one of the memorable days of his life. Simran also posted the same caption on her Instagram handle while she had also posted a couple of videos in the lead up to the marriage earlier.

Unmukt Chand led India to U19 World Cup victory in 2012

Unmukt Chand was the captain of India U19 team when the side won the World Cup beating Australia in the final. It was the skipper who had led from the front in the title clash scoring a scintillating century in a tricky chase. He was then touted as the next big thing in the Indian cricket but unfortunately, the man never got the opportunity at the highest level and also at the domestic level while playing for Delhi.

However, he mesmerised many with his batting a lot of times during his 67 FC, 120 List A and 77 T20 matches. Overall, Unmukt scored 18 centuries and 53 fifties in her career and also played for Uttarakhand in search of opportunities before deciding to move his base to the USA earlier this year. He has already played a few brilliant knocks in the Minor League cricket in US and will be looking forward to do well in the BBL next month.
