Video of Shaheen Afridi dismissing Shahid Afridi goes viral with 'Suno sasurji' song in backdrop

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi and celebrated pacer Shaheen Afridi are likely to become relatives as it is learned that Shaheen’s family approached Shahid to get the young seamer married to his daughter Aqsa. While many news portals suggested that the proposal has been accepted, Shahid via his tweet revealed that nothing is confirmed yet and talks are still going on.

Shaheen Afridi’s father Ayaz Khan had reportedly told the media officials that he had sent the proposal of marriage to Shahid Afridi’s family and it was accepted as well. He had further added that things will be officially done after two years as Afridi’s eldest daughter Aqsa is still studying while Shaheen’s career is also in the building phase.

The same was later confirmed by a Pakistani journalist, Ihtisham ul Haq on Twitter. “With permission from both families, I would like to clarify the engagement rumors between Shaheen Afridi and the daughter of Shahid Afridi. The proposal has been accepted; it is thought that a formal engagement will be done within 2 yrs, following the completion of her education,” he wrote on Twitter.

After all the assumptions and announcements, Shahid finally decided to reveal the truth saying that nothing is confirmed yet and if god wills, then things can proceed further.

Social media goes crazy after Shahid Afridi’s tweet on the matter

“Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven if Allah wills this match will be made too. My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field,” his tweet read.

Though Shahid Afridi clarified that nothing is official, the big announcement sent the social media sites in a frenzy as Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages for both the families. Also, many fans came up with hilarious memes to congratulate the cricketers.

Meanwhile, a fan shared a video where both Shaheen and Shahid can be seen playing opposite each other in a game of PSL. in the clip, the veteran hit the 20-year-old for a six but on the very next ball, Shaheen managed to uproot the stumps of the batsman. The highlight of the video was the background song added by the user, ‘Suno sasurji ab zid chhodo’ from the Bollywood movie ‘Dulhe Raja’. The clip soon went viral on social media with many people sharing it.
