The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18 marches towards the end of the group stage with the Group C and Group D completing their matches. Hyderabad and Saurashtra enter quarters from Group D while Andhra and Mumbai moved ahead from Group C. Baroda confirmed their knockouts berth from Group A while Karnataka and Railways will be fighting out for the 2nd spot. However, no team finalized its top eight finish from the Group B.

All the stats and numbers that matter from the 10th day of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18:

5/37 – Mohammed Siraj’s bowling figures against Chhattisgarh. This is his 2nd five-wicket in List A cricket. He registered figures of 5/45 against Services in the first match of this tournament.


7 – Number of dismissals made by Goa’s Keenan Vaz against Gujarat with six catches and a stumping. These are the joint most dismissals affected by an Indian wicket-keeper in List A cricket. Mahesh Rawat took seven catches behind the stumps for Railways against Madhya Pradesh in the 2011/12 season while Parthiv Patel took six catches and affected a stumping against Central Zone in 2013/14 season for West Zone.


7 – Hanuma Vihari’s seven sixes in his innings against Mumbai are the most in a List A innings for Andhra. Ricky Bhui hit six sixes during his 103* against Goa in 2013/14 season.


9 – Ravichandran Ashwin ended as the leading wicket-taker for Tamil Nadu in the 2017/18 Vijay Hazare Trophy with the nine wickets in five matches. The defending champions failed to make it to the knockouts with four losses out of their six matches.


9 – Number of sixes for Assam’s Romario Sharma in his unbeaten 97-run knock against Haryana which are the most by any player for Assam in a List A innings. B Iqbal Khan hit seven sixes against Bihar in 1998/99 season.


20 – Runs conceded by Barinder Singh Sran against Railways in the final over when they needed 18 runs. He conceded 6, wd, W, 6, wd, wd, wd and 4 in the 50th over as Railways made 20 runs in only four legal deliveries. Punjab got knocked out with this defeat with only three wins out of their six matches.


143 – Manan Vohra’s innings of 143 against Railways is the 3rd highest individual score in List A cricket for Punjab. Dinesh Mongia scored 159 and 158 in the 2005/06 and 2000/01 season respectively against Jammu and Kashmir.


169 – Hanuma Vihari’s 169-run knock against Mumbai is the highest individual score in List A cricket for Andhra surpassing Y Gnaneswara Rao’s 159* against Kerala in 2007/08. This is also the 5th highest individual score in the Vijay Hazare Trophy history.


254 – The 254-run stand between Hanuma Vihari and KS Bharat is the biggest stand for Andhra in List A cricket for any wicket. They went past Fayaz Ahmed and Y Venugopal Rao’s 205-run stand that came for the 3rd wicket in the 2002/03 game against Tamil Nadu.


344/5 – Andhra’s total of 344/5 against Mumbai is their 2nd highest List A total behind the 385/6 against Goa in 2011/12 in the run-chase. With 323/9 against Assam, Haryana also recorded their 2nd highest List A total behind 335/8 against Himachal Pradesh in the 2005/06 season.
