Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have locked horns with each other for the second Quarter Final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, what has intrigued the on-lookers is the quickfire knock of Shahrukh Khan which helped Tamil Nadu take command of the game. His innings enabled the team to put a handsome total onboard for the opposition.

After having won the toss, Karnataka decided to bat first at the KL Saini Ground, Jaipur. Tamil Nadu lost an early wicket wherein KC Cariappa removed Baba Aparajith with just 13 runs to his account. But then Narayan Jagadeesan and Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore held the fort of the side.

Jagadeesan hit an impressive century to exude his flair whereas Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore added valuable 61 runs to the team’s account. The side was then reduced to 240-4 and that is when Shahrukh Khan took the mantle to steady the innings for the side.

The batter continued his impressive form in the high-profile tournament by chiming in with a crucial knock for the side. He hit a splendid 79 off just 39 deliveries ahead of the upcoming IPL 2021 mega auction. It is a no-brainer that the franchises would be putting their thinking hats on for getting a dominating batter in their setup and with this fabulous knock Shahrukh Khan has raised quite a few eyebrows.

It was owing to his blazing knock that Tamil Nadu could take the charge of the game and post the target of 355 for the opposition. The batter has performed consistently for the team as a finisher over the course of time now. He yet again lit up the show by putting his ‘A’ game to the fore. He had also grabbed all the limelight after smashing a last-ball six to star in Tamil Nadu’s triumph in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He has been instrumental in taking the team out of trouble on most occasions. However, it is to be noted that he was not retained by Punjab Kings for the upcoming seasons. As IPL 2022 is all set to welcome two new teams, the mega auction is all set to take place. Thus, it will be intriguing to see which teams go behind the batter.
