Saurashtra has received a massive boost ahead of their semi-final clash against Andhra in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been declared fit after missing the last couple of games of the tournament due to the side strain. His inclusion will help the team bolster in all the facets of the game as Jadeja is a live wire on the field. However, he would be itching to play the game and make his presence felt with both bat and ball.

Jadeja is currently out of the national side in the limited overs format following his poor run during the Champions Trophy last year. He is striving hard to make a comeback since then by performing in the domestic cricket. He has so far scored 156 runs in four outings for his team with the highest score of 113*. However, he has struggled with the ball and hasn’t picked any wicket so far after bowling 32 overs. Though he has been economical conceding runs only at 4.90 runs per over.

Pujara joins the team

Soon after the quarterfinal victory against Baroda, Saurashtra skipper Cheteshwar Pujara had to fly back home to meet his new-born daughter. He stayed with his family for some time and then boarded the flight to Delhi on Saturday morning. He did not participate in the afternoon practice session that took place and will take the field on Sunday straightaway.

Saurashtra will face Andhra in the second semifinal of the tournament and the winner of the clash will meet Karnataka in the final. Karun Nair led side defeated Maharashtra by nine wickets comfortably on Saturday. Maharashtra were bundled out for 160 after which they chased down the target with utter ease in the 31st over. The dream run for Mayank Agarwal continued as he scored 81 off 86 deliveries. The skipper Karun also smashed 70 runs off 90 deliveries and will await their opponents now for the final on Tuesday.
