Virat Kohli is generally known for his attacking style of play on the cricket field, both with his batting and words. He minces no words while sharing opinions on issues and isn’t someone who prefers to hold himself back no matter what the situation demands.

The Indian skipper has also used stern and foul words on the field. He was caught doing the same during the second day’s play of the 2nd Test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The incident unfolded in the 28th over bowled by Vernon Philander.

After a couple of initial stutters, Virat and Murali Vijay bailed them out as the partnership stood at 52 runs. It was then that Kohli was heard hurling abuses on the stump-microphones. He was caught saying “Shaam Tak Khelenge, Inki G***D Fat Jaegi” which roughly meant that if they manage to play until the end of the day, then the South Africans will be pissed off.

Here’s the video

Kohli and Vijay’s partnership ended with the score at 107 when Vijay nicked Keshav Maharaj’s delivery into Quinton de Kock’s webbings. Rohit Sharma’s poor run of form continued as he was trapped in front of the stumps by Kagiso Rabada for yet another low score. Parthiv Patel, after scorching three boundaries, became Lungi Ngidi’s maiden Test victim.

Virat Kohli, on the other hand, looked calm and composed throughout his knock. He blended caution with aggression and guided India through to the end of day’s play. Hardik Pandya was streaky, yet managed to play the day out without any hiccup. However, it’s evident that going into day four, Virat will be India’s key man with the bat.

He is currently batting on 85 runs off 130 balls and will be looking to convert the hard work into something substantial. Meanwhile, Team India is still a fair distance away from South Africa’s first innings total.
