Virat Kohli charges the maximum amount per Instagram post in India

Virat Kohli is the number one ranked celebrity in India when it comes to charging fees per Instagram post. The list is being headed by Football star Cristiano Ronaldo as he charged a whopping $1,604,000 per post in 2021. Kohli is ranked 19th on the list and charges $680,000. The Indian Test skipper also has the highest number of followers in India on Instagram. 177 million people follow the legendary cricketer, which exemplifies his popularity among the masses.

Besides, Kohli, there is only one India in the top fifty list. Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas is listed 27th and charges $403,000 fees per Instagram post. According to Forbes India, these two celebrities made a huge amount by posting promotional posts on social media. The Indian Test captain is one of the most sought-after personalities on and off-field due to the number of laurels he has brought to the country. Since his debut in 2008, Kohli has earned the tag of chase master, run machine, India’s most successful Test captain, and modern-day legend.

He has also gone on to endorse many brands and appeared in many commercials. Kohli was also one of the most searched sports personalities on Yahoo’s list in 2021. He also become the first Indian celebrity to have 150 million Instagram followers in September 2021.

Virat Kohli set to play the third Test in Cape Town

Kohli is currently in South Africa for the ongoing three-match Test series. The visitors started the series with a bang as they won the first Test. However, India lost the second Test match by seven wickets in Johannesburg. The 33-year-old missed the match due to back spasms. The right-hand batter’s aggressive captaincy and batting were missed as India failed to drive home the advantage.

However, Kohli is expected to be fit for the third and final Test match in Cape Town. Stand-in captain KL Rahul and head coach Rahul Dravid have mentioned that he doing fine and should be fit for the final match of the series. The Indian Test captain was seen in the nets training and doing fielding drills. Most probably Hanuma Vihari will have to make way for Kohli.

The management earlier had mentioned that it will continue to back Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinya Rahane. The duo managed to score vital fifties in the second Test match.
