Indian captain Virat Kohli has nothing to complain to his boys, as they have already sealed the series, with two more games to be played. On Monday, Indian pacer Mohammed Shami uploaded a video of his daughter, Aairah, dancing with Kohli. Shami wrote, “Aairah dance with Virat after 3-0 victory.”

Shami was a part of the Indian team in the Test series against Sri Lanka. The visitors went on to win the series, also completed a clean sweep 3-0, and handed a whitewash to the opposition. Shami scalped 10 wickets in the series. The event probably took place after the conclusion of the Test series, as Shami was accompanied by his wife and daughter. It was earlier reported that during one of the Test matches against New Zealand last year, Shami’s daughter was taken to the ICU due to high fever. To everyone’s surprise, Shami continued on to play that Test for India.

Kohli lauds Shami

Skipper Kohli has always backed the Bengal pacer and admired the character he possesses. “Shami is someone who is a character in the change room. On the field you won’t see him coming out in the open and expressing himself too much. But he is someone everyone loves in the team. He is someone everyone gets along with. Whatever might be happening with him, we won’t know. I had no clue that his daughter was in the hospital. He told us after,” Kohli had said.

This Sri Lanka tour has been a walk in the park for the Indian team. They have comfortably won the 3rd ODI and with that the series by 6 wickets, after opener Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten hundred and was well supported by MS Dhoni. Sharma remained unbeaten on 123*, while Dhoni played a good hand of 67, and was not out until the end. India went over the line with 29 balls to spare.
