Team India skipper Virat Kohli takes his fitness very seriously. He has often been seen vouching for increased levels of fitness from the front and hence, often sets up very high standards for the rest of the team to follow. Currently, the Indian skipper is gearing up for his next assignment on the field. Virat Kohli will be seen in action during the Indian Premier League a couple of weeks from now. He will be leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament.
Virat, who is the highest paid cricketer in the IPL, has been an integral part of the RCB camp ever since the first edition of the tournament. In the 2016 edition, he was a juggernaut for his side. Under his leadership, RCB had made it to the finals of the tournament. However, Kohli had a very ordinary run in the 2017 edition of the IPL and that reflected severely on the overall results for the RCB camp in the series.
And now, Virat is all set to replicate his heroics from the 2016 edition in the upcoming edition of the tournament. Kohli had hit four centuries in the IPL 2016 and he is clearly willing to breach all his previous records. Recently, he took to the social media platforms to post an update on his fitness. He posted a picture and captioned it aptly citing that he is getting stronger with every passing day.
Interestingly, Kohli has had a decent time off the field as well. Hence, he has had a good recovery phase after a very hectice Indian cricketing season of 2017-18. Kohli had asked for rest in the Nidahas Trophy, the last international assignment for team India in the season. There are other preparations that Kohli has been going through as well. He is sporting a new hairdo in the IPL 2018. Following his footsteps, another Indian veteran opted for a new hairdo recently.
Here is wha Virat Kohli posted:
“Great session today. Getting stronger every day,” Virat Kohli captioned his picture.
