Kyle Jamieson is a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side in the 2021 edition of the IPL. And, the New Zealand cricketer opened up on playing with RCB skipper Virat Kohli.

Jamieson termed Kohli as a ‘lovely’ guy. Stating that Kohli is a fierce cricketer on the cricket field, the right-arm pacer added that the Indian batting maestro is a welcoming person off it.

The 26-year-old Jamieson added that Kohli is a passionate individual and loves to win a cricket match.

“He is a lovely guy. I have played against him a couple of times and obviously, he is quite intense and quite fierce in the field, but off the park, he is so nice and welcoming. He just loves to win as well. He could be at it on the field and stuff, but he is just passionate about being there, about winning,” said Jamieson on the show Baz and Izzy for Breakfast.

Hopefully I can get a taste of what India’s really like: Kyle Jamieson

Kyle Jamieson further stated that he is fortunate to be playing in a tournament like the IPL, and the RCB side has got good overseas cricketers in their side. Adding that the team was in the bubble all the time in the first half of IPL 2021, Jamieson concluded by stating that he will get back to India to get a taste of what the country is really like.

“It’s good to see how different guys work. We have got some good overseas players in our group. So, yes, pretty fortunate to be involved in a tournament like that. India was under lockdown when I was there. So we were pretty much in bubbles. I kind of missed out on that experience which is a shame. Hopefully, once this thing gets down, I can get back there and get a taste of what it’s really like,” concluded Jamieson.

The second half of the 14th edition of the IPL will get underway on 19th September 2021, with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the first match of the second leg of the tournament.
