Pakistan’s prolific wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan joined the list of cricketers around the world who have revealed their opinions on the current form of Virat Kohli. It is to be noted that Kohli has been a sensational player across formats for years now and will definitely go into the legends’ book, however, just like every great player, Kohli has been going through a lean patch of form in international cricket and now in IPL 2022 as well.

The right-hander hasn’t scored a century for the last two and a half years and has been stuck on 70 international centuries. Apart from that, Kohli has also registered three golden ducks in this IPL season for RCB despite stepping down as captain of the franchise and the Indian side across formats. He has managed just 216 runs in 12 games so far where his strike rate has gone down massively. No wonder, experts around the world want him to take a break from the game to find his form back.

Tough times do come and things do get easier too: Mohammad Rizwan

Rizwan opined that everyone can pray for Kohli to be back in form for the reason that he is a champion and is one of the most hard-working cricketers as well. He added that every great player in history had to go through the tough times in their career and hoped that Kohli gets back in form soon with his prayers. Kohli and Rizwan were spotted sharing great camaraderie after the India – Pakistan game in the T20 World Cup 2021.

“I will say that he is a champion player but at this stage, we can pray for him because he is a hard-working cricketer,” Rizwan told Cricwick.

“And tough times do come and things do get easier too. Every player has scored centuries and got out on pairs and this goes on. I can only pray for him and I am hopeful that through hard work, he will control all the things,” Rizwan, who is currently playing for Sussex in the County Championship, added.
