Harbhajan Singh is one of the best spinners India have ever produced in their proud cricket history. His partnership bowling partnership with Anil Kumble in early 2000s bamboozled many best batsmen. The off-spinner turned 38 on Tuesday and is celebrating his birthday as the wishes are flooding in for him on social media. The Indian captain Virat Kohli is also not behind as he has termed Bhajji as the champion bowler.

The Indian team is currently doing extremely well under the leadership of Kohli and Harbhajan was also the part of the set up for a decent period of time. He has always praised the former for his aggressive captaincy and it goes without saying that they acknowledge each other for their contribution to Indian cricket. Despite the fact that Bhajji has fallen off the radar of the national side in the last few years, he holds no grudges for the captain and might have accepted the same.

Champion bowler

Harbhajan has picked a whopping 691 wickets in his international career across all the formats while donning the Indian jersey in 257 matches. He was the go-to bowler for his skippers during his playing days and was unfortunately sidelined after the triumph in 2011 World Cup. Kohli was also the part of the same team and both lived the moment of their life with the dream trophy in their hands.

Kohli was in awe of the birthday boy and was out of adjectives in his brilliant wish which read, “Wishing the champion bowler and an amazing human being @harbhajan_singh a very happy birthday. Keep inspiring and Have a good one Bhajju Pa. #Turbanator #TopGuy #Legend.”

The likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Suresh Raina among others also wished Harbhajan with the former coming up with a special message for him in Tamil.

Here’s Kohli’s wish:
