Virat Kohli joins PM Narendra Modi and Shahrukh Khan in the list of Top 20 'Most Admired Men'

Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has to be there in each and every list if talks about fandom and popularity at the global level. Yet again, Kohli is here, capturing the world with his charm and style statements as he made to the list of ‘Most Admired Men’ by YouGov for the first time in 2020. The Indian skipper is an expert is making heads turn both on and off the field and he has proved that again.

The survey by YouGov talked about the 20 most admired men and women all over the world. Apart from the RCB skipper, four other Indians made their way through the list, wherein Prime Minister Narendra Modi sits at No.4 position.

Talking of other Indian stars in the list, the Big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, is at No.14 while acting icon Shahrukh Khan stands at No.17. Kohli stood at 16th position in the worldwide list and bagged the 3rd place in terms of Indians.

A total of 4500 personalities from 42 countries were taken into consideration while framing the list. There were people who saw a significant hike in their rankings, and one of them is Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Musk took a jump and made him sit at No 9 position. Youth icon and human rights campaigner Malala Yousafzai saw losing her position and dropped from No.6 to No.14.

Now, talking about the ‘Most Admired Men’ in India, PM Modi has topped the list hands down ahead of Ratan Tata. The significant point worth noticing here is, MS Dhoni has surpassed Virat Kohli when it was talked in terms of ‘admired men in India’. MS Dhoni sits in this at No.3 position while Virat Kohli found himself at No.9. The Ranchi stalwart is undoubtedly the most admired sportsman in the country.

The nominations were taken by YouGov from the months of January, February, and March this year. The people were asked two questions, ‘Whom do you admire’ when there were multiple choices and ‘Whom do you admire the most’ when only one answer was accepted.
