Kohli gives a long reply to Wade

India-Australia series has officially begun as Indian captain Virat Kohli engages in a verbal duel with Matthew Wade this time. A series in which players of the either teams haven’t been involved in a spat is a matter unheard of lately. The Indian skipper has more often than not has been involved in an altercation with Australians almost everytime they meet.

Virat Kohli, yet again sparkled for his knock of 92 off just 107 balls, smashing eight majestic boundaries. In between his dazzling inning, he was involved with their wicketkeeper, harrowingly out of form with both bat and gloves, Matthew Wade, who questioned Kohli’s spirit of the game after bye stolen due to a misfield.

The move of Kohli, who was batting with Kedar Jadhav, trying to steal a single when Wade took his eyes off the incoming ball off Stoinis. Marcus Stoinis and Kohli were seen having a conversation before Wade chirped something behind Kohli.

After a brief pause, Virat Kohli gave a long reply to Wade, much to the joy of the crowd at Eden Gardens, Kolkata who caught the piece of action during the replays on the big screen.

This is not the first time Kohli has been involved in a spat with an Australian. One of the most famous incidents was against Mitchell Johnson on his follow through, who hit a fierce throw hitting Kohli. He was also involved in a verbal duel with captain Steve Smith when he objected to the appeal from Rohit Sharma.

Recently, during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in February-March, Kohli injured his shoulders while fielding in the Ranchi Test. The like of Maxwell and others made fun of the injury to Kohli. The Indian captain went ahead and claimed that he wouldn’t call some of them friends in Australian team following the mocking of his injury to the shoulder.
