India skipper Virat Kohli is known to be a very hard working cricketer. He is a thorough professional and is said to be the first one at practice and the last man to leave the ground after a grueling session and never skips an optional practice session. It is his commitment and dedication to the game that has brought him tremendous success in the last six years.

After getting an unchallenged unconquered 82 in the first game, Kohli registered two successive single digit scores for the first time since June 2015. Such has been his consistency that he hasn’t been out of form in the last half a decade, especially in ODIs. After the twin failures, Kohli went on to post two back-to-back hundreds and in the process, equaled Ricky Ponting’s tally of 30 ODI centuries and is behind only Sachin Tendulkar on the all-time list.

Yesterday’s innings was in stark contrast to the previous one. He had to pace his innings and lift India from 29 for 2 to complete a famous 5-0 whitewash of the hosts Sri Lanka. He remained unbowed at 110 and deservingly hit the winning runs. India will play just a lone T20 on Wednesday before they fly back home after a long 47-day tour of the Island nation. After getting an outstanding century last night, one could afford to relax and unwind before the T20I but not if you are Virat Kohli. He was set to practice today which is a hallmark of his greatness as a limited overs batsman. He posted a tweet which intended pun as Kohli was being willy nilly.

The 28-year old would be looking forward to training and finish the tour with another big innings. Currently, he is the only batsman in T20I to have an average in the north of 50. In 45 innings, the right-hander has scored 1748 runs at 52.96 which include 16 half centuries.
