Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has put forth his predictions for the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, September 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. As per the veteran, the fast bowlers are likely to end with more than four wickets in the game.

Both teams have some quality pacers in their ranks, including the likes of Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and others. Chopra feels that the pitch in Abu Dhabi will have something for the speedsters.

“Fast bowlers to take more than four wickets,” Chopra, who played the IPL for the Knights more than a decade ago, was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

Chopra also reckoned the Varun Chakravarthy and Yuzvendra Chahal will be amongst the wickets. In the 2020 IPL, Chakravarthy did exceedingly well and also got a five-wicket haul at the same venue, although against the Delhi Capitals.

Chahal, in the meantime, would be looking to prove a point after being left out of the national squad for the T20 World Cup in the UAE. “Varun Chakravarthy and Yuzvendra Chahal to pick up more than three wickets,” he stated.

Chopra also said that Virat Kohli, the RCB skipper, and AB de Villiers will make a significant contribution in the encounter. “Kohli and AB de Villiers will score over 60 runs combined,” Chopra said.

In the first leg of IPL 2021, de Villiers scored a sparkling half-century against KKR, guiding RCB to a mammoth 38-run victory. The right-hander smashed an unbeaten 34-ball 76 after the Kohli-led Challengers batted first.

Moreover, Chopra predicted RCB to win their upcoming game against Eoin Morgan and Co. “RCB to win the match,” Chopra added.

On a head-to-head count, the Knight Riders are leading the Challengers 15-13. However, of late, RCB have got the better of their opponents. Kohli’s men are currently placed at third in the points table with five wins from seven games.

The Knights, on the other hand, are languishing at seventh in the table with two wins from seven games. It remains to be seen which team comes out on top in Monday’s game.
