Virender Sehwag is the new sensation on Twitter. No matter what the situation is, Sehwag has the best way to express it on social media. The former Indian opener is known for his tweets full of sarcasm and puns. He is prominent for taking hilarious digs at his fellow players with funny tweets which take very little time to get viral. Delhi batsman Rishabh Pant became the latest to be on the list of Sehwag.
Pant struck a brilliant triple century in the second round of the Ranji Trophy. His triple ton came for Delhi against Maharashtra at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Maharashtra had piled on a mammoth total of 635 kudos to a record 594-run stand between Swapnil Gugale and Ankeet Bawane. Delhi were down and out. Not much was expected from them but Pant had his plans. He struck a brisk triple century.
His triple ton came in just 320 balls as he struck his highest score in FC career. He was eventually dismissed on 308 in 326 balls with 42 fours and 9 sixes. His strike rate of over 94 was the key highlight of his innings. While the cricket world congratulated the new kid on the block, Virender Sehwag had his own way to wish him. Sehwag took to micro-blogging site Twitter to commend the herculean effort by the young Delhi batsman.
He hilariously wrote, “Rishabh Pant ne Pant utar di. 308 , brilliant innings against Maharashtra. #RanjiTrophy.” He received a lot of replies for this tweet and one surely cannot stop laughing at the sense of humor that the veteran Indian always comes up with.

A couple of days earlier, Sehwag had shocked all his fans with an ordinary tweet for his good friend Gautam Gambhir. Expectations were high among his fans that Sehwag will come up with a hilarious tweet for his good old friend Gambhir. However, they were let down to see an ordinary tweet come their way. Interestingly, even Gambhir was surprised to see such a simple birthday wish.
Getting back to the man of the moment, Pant looks like a serious contender to be a promising future star.
