The Rio Olympic Olympics might have gotten over but good news continues to come for India from the games. The news, however, isn’t from this edition but comes from the 2012 edition which was hosted in London.

Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, winner of the bronze medal in the 60-kg freestyle event, received an elevation after Russia’s Besik Kudukhov, who finished second, tested positive for a banned substance. In view of Besik’s disqualification, it was automatic up gradation to silver for Yogeshwar.

This new was a huge delight for the people who are still celebrating the success of Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu. Twitter went abuzz. Virender Sehwag also didn’t hold back his emotions and expressed his excitement about the news.

Sehwag took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Tuesday morning to post: “Wah !Cricket upgraded in the US, NehraJi upgraded to smartphone and now #YogeshwarDutt ‘s 2012 bronze likely to be upgraded to silver. #Upgrade”

As usual, Sehwag had a very interesting approach in showing his happiness. The comparisons he made was related the recently concluded India-West Indies tour which was held in the USA. This was the first time India had visited the US. He also pointed out at Ashish Nehra who recently revealed that he upgraded himself to a smartphone. The left arm fast bowler is not known to be very tech savvy.

Yogeshwar also remains active from his social media handles and it will be interesting to see how the wrestler responds to Viru’s epic take.

In London, Yogeshwar had lost his pre-quarterfinal bout to Kudukhov. When the Russian wrestler reached the final, Yogeshwar got another opportunity for a podium finish in the repechage round where he defeated Franklin Gomez of Puerto Rico, Masoud Esmaeilpour of Iran and Ri Jong-myong of North Korea to claim bronze.
