The Kings XI Punjab pulled off yet another win in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. In their most recent fixture, they beat the Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets to register their first win at their new home venue, Indore. The team management is in a happy place and so is the team. After the victory, the team director, Virender Sehwag, took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his thoughts on the game.
Virender Sehwag is not a new name for the Twitterverse. Sehwag is very popular on the social media and is a very active member on Twitter. He keeps coming up with witty posts and updates on his social media handle. During this season of the IPL, he has continued the trend. Recently, after Kings XI Punjab’s win over the Royals, Sehwag made it a point to wish the hero of their win.
Sehwag showered praises on opening batsman KL Rahul, who guided KXIP in the nervy run chase. Rahul remained unbeaten on 84 to steer his side to a victory in the low scoring game. On a track where most batsmen struggled, Rahul played with sublime touch. Sehwag noted that finishing an innings is an art and is always rated highly.
Here is what Virender Sehwag tweeted:
“Always rate finishing games as a very high quality in batsman and KL Rahul did it so brilliantly today. Good performance by the boys and really well led by Ashwin #KXIPvRR,” Virender Sehwag wrote in his tweet.

Rahul’s knock has been hailed by many. He has been in a tremendous touch this season. Commenting specifically on this knock, the innings came in the run chase of 152. The Kings, with their batting might, were expected to chase down the total with ease. However, they ended up choking big time with several big names failing on the day. Rahul, on the other hand, held his end and ensured that his side was over the line with 6 wickets in hand.
