Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is well know for being active on Twitter. He often sends birthday wishes to his teammates and former rivals, and never misses out on wishing his followers on auspicious occasions. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Sehwag wished his fans and followers.

Every year, September 14 is observed as the Hindi Diwas because on this day in 1949, the Indian Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi language as the official language of the Republic of India. He wrote a post in Hindi and sent his wishes across. Viru shared a quote by the famous Hindi poet, Sumitra Nandan Pant

But there seemed to be a minor error, as he wrote: “हिन्दि” instead of “हिन्दी” in the post. But the former explosive opener soon rectified the error. He also announced that he will be in the commentary box, taking on the Hindi commentary assignment during the 1st ODI between India and Australia on 17th September at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

Sehwag slams the rotation  policy

Sehwag recently criticized India’s rotation policy which saw players like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja miss out from the limited overs squad for the Australia series, apart from spin spearhead Ravichandran Ashwin.”The best players should play and look to win the series. The more series you win your ranking stays healthy,” Sehwag told TOI on Sunday. “The upcoming limited-overs series against Australia is very important series. It shouldn’t be used just to find a core group. Virat can certainly experiment against Sri Lanka because he knows they are not a strong team.” Sehwag said.

“If Yuvraj was indeed rested, then they need to rest a few more players in the coming series so that their words look genuine. They don’t need to preserve ODI specialists. The more Bumrah plays the better he will get.”  he added
