Former Swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag has been in the headlines in the last few months for his extraordinary ways of wishing his fellow cricketers, film stars and his teammates. The entertainment hasn’t stopped a single bit as far as Sehwag is concerned, only the places have changed. While he used to smash bowlers around the world with his audacious strokeplay during his playing days, now he is hitting fours and sixes with his tweets on Twitter.

He has been very active on the social networking site and is seen interacting with his fans and wishing cricketers and famous personalities in his own witty style. While we normally end up wishing our fellow mates a normal “Happy birthday’, Sehwag has innumerable one-liner up his sleeve.

From taking a sly dig at the current demonetised India to trolling his wife Aarti on her birthday Sehwag has done it all. Even he didn’t spare himself on his birthday. He shared a hilarious birthday song and wrote, “Happy Birthday to me and everyone celebrating their Birthdays today including @sherryontopp Paaji. Just dance to this tune for a few seconds.”

With almost all the cricketers getting wished by Sehwag on a consistent basis, it was the turn of arguably the greatest batsman of the modern generation Joe Root to get a birthday wish in a Sehwag style. Root has been a prolific run-getter for England and has been a man for all formats. Sehwag took to his twitter handle and wrote, “Happy Birthday Joe Root. All lines in this Root are busy. Top player, hungry player.Knows his roots”.

Viru’s sense of humour was out on the display yet again and it was warmly received by his fans. He started off with a hilarious punchline and besides rating Root as a top player and hungry player, Sehwag said that Root knew his routes very well.
