Virender Sehwag has yet again come up with a unique wish for the legendary cricketer and leg-spinner Anil Kumble on his birthday. The former coach is celebrating his 47th birthday on Tuesday and the wishes are pouring in from all corners of the cricketing arena. But the Nawab of Najafgarh always wins the internet with his special and witty tweets. However, Anil Kumble has thanked him after wishing on a special day.

Viru was in the race to replace Kumble as the head coach of the Indian cricket team not so long ago. The latter had stepped down from the position post the conclusion of ICC Champions Trophy in June after knowing that the skipper Virat Kohli had ‘reservations’ with his style of working. However, the former cricketer Ravi Shastri eventually became the coach who had worked with the team before Kumble took over. Sehwag recently told a TV news that he was miffed after the appointment of Shastri as he had applied for the post only after consulting Kohli.

Sehwag’s Jumbo wish

Virender Sehwag has wished the birthday boy and the best spinner of all time in cricket Anil Kumble in a unique on social media website Twitter. His message read, “ On Dhanteras, wishing one of India’s greatest Dhan @anilkumble1074 bhai a very happy birthday. Jai jai Shiv Shambho,

Happy Birthday Jumbo !” Incidentally, the festive season starts in India and the swashbuckling player didn’t miss out on that as well while wishing Jumbo. Kumble also thanked him in his reply which read, “Thanks Viru.”

Both the cricketers played together for a long time in the early 2000s and also when Kumble was the captain for a brief period in Test format. In 2004, the duo had won the game for India during their tour to Pakistan. In the first Test match in Multan, Viru had smashed a triple ton and then with the ball in hand Kumble has scalped eight wickets in the match. They were also the part of Sourav Ganguly led One-Day side which romped into the final of 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup.
