Updated - Nov 5, 2019 6:06 pm
The North Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Lancashire and Warwickshire at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
The match starts at 6:30 PM local time (11:00 PM IST) (5:30 PM GMT).
This game will be live on Sky Sports in England and Fan Code app in India.
If there has to be one team in the North group that stands apart, it was to be Lancashire. In the ten games that they played thus far in this edition of the T20 Blast, they lost only one. While a result wasn’t possible in three games, they managed to win six. The team has got four more games left in the league stages and will look to solidify one of the top four positions when they face Warwickshire.
Also, this is an opportunity for them to experiment slightly with their players and give everyone a go out there in the middle. Warwickshire hasn’t particularly had a great season with only three wins from nine games. Yet, they are very much in the contention to make it into the knockouts. If they can defeat a team like Lancashire, their confidence will surely go up significantly.
It has been raining quite a lot in Manchester in the last few days and it is expected to remain the same for the next five to six days as well. Given the amount of downpour in the city, even if the rain subsides after a while since the scheduled start of the match, it will be a herculean task to get the ground ready in time.
It isn’t an easy track for the batsmen at Manchester. There has been a lot of rain of late at the very and thus the pitch could be quite damp. The ball might not come onto the bat nicely and the better bowling team will have a huge advantage.
Average first innings score: 165.84 (Last 13 completed games in the T20 Blast 2019)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 6, Lost – 7, Tied – 0
