Leicestershire Foxes will host Yorkshire Vikings at the Grace Road as part of the North Group in the T20 Blast 2019 on Tuesday. Both the teams had a similar beginning as their respective first match got washed out without a ball bowled and ended up on the losing side in the second game. Leicestershire were blown away by Fidel Edwards in the game against the Birmingham Bears (Warwickshire) on Sunday.

The Caribbean pacer came to the club on a loan of ten matches and his first over fetched three wickets which include the Leicester openers who bagged golden ducks. They recovered and finished with 115/9 which the hosts chased down with 31 balls to spare. Yorkshire went down in a similar fashion against Derbyshire. Despite a top-order collapse Yorks finished with 164/8 but lost by five wickets.

The Grace Road in Leicester has recorded totals between 140 and 160 by the team batting first in the last five T20 Blast games. Chasing seems to be easy at this venue as four of those five were won by the teams chasing. The teams batting first won’t compromise for anything less than 170.

Nicholas Pooran batted at No.7 in the previous game and scored only 12 runs. He might not succeed with the bat if his batting position remains the same. It is the reason why we have not picked him in our Suggested Playing XI No.1.
