Bowling has been a massive concern for Surrey in this edition of the T20 Blast. The London-based team has played two games thus far in the tournament. On both these instances, the bowlers hardly lived up to the expectations. Over 200 runs were conceded by matches in these matches and it gets quite difficult for the batsmen to chase such steep targets. However, on Thursday, they bundled out Glamorgan for just 44 runs at The Oval.
This performance included a hat-trick from Tom Curran who bagged an embarrassing record of the most expensive 3-over spell in T20s. They’ll have to be quick as they will play Sussex on Friday. In their last match, Sussex registered a morale-boosting victory against Hampshire. Thus, they will be high on confidence and it won’t be an easy task for Surrey to stop their opposition.
Match Details:
The South Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Sussex and Surrey at the County Ground in Hove.
The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (11:30 PM IST) (6:00 PM GMT).
Pitch Condition/Report:
The County Ground in Hove continued its trend of witnessing the teams winning after posting 180+ while batting first. However, looking at the Sussex-Hampshire game the other day, the visiting teams will be aiming higher if they bat first. Hampshire threatened to chase down the score against a pretty good bowling attack of Sussex. The boundary shape and dew factor help the chasing sides.

Expert Advice:
There are a lot of options to pick for this game from batsmen. However, Rashid Khan remains the best due to his additional features of batting and also fielding in catching areas. Imran Tahir is another player who is expected to be consistent from this category.
Probable Winners:
Sussex might edge out Surrey who don’t have a great depth in their batting compared to the hosts.
