With only four days to go for the third Test between Australia and India to begin, certain things off the field have started hogging the limelight. If it was Rohit Sharma and four other cricketers possibly breaching the bio-bubble protocols on Saturday, the visitors’ reluctance to be in hard quarantine for the fourth and final in Brisbane has put the last Test in doubt.

Team India was expecting to be treated as normal Australians after completing their 14-day mandatory quarantine period. But they are now reluctant now to travel to Brisbane after being told that they will have to be in hard quarantine with movement strictly restricted between hotel and stadium.

The spike in COVID-19 cases in New South Wales has led to the Queensland government shutting its borders for their citizens and it has been also cleared that there will be no exemptions for cricketers also. Even as the fourth Test is in doubt, Queensland’s Shadow Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, Ros Bates, added fuel to the fire with her comments. “Well, if the Indians don’t want to play by the rules, don’t come,” she said.

In the meantime, former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has trolled the Minister over her comments with yet another meme. Jaffer has been trending on social media every now and then thanks to his hilarious tweets. Even this time around, he was at his humorous best while trolling the Minister for her comments on the Indian team.

He posted a picture of Jofra Archer smiling with a bag and termed that the Indian team is ready to travel back to India with the Border Gavaskar already in their bag as the series is currently levelled at 1-1. Notably, Archer was the first cricketer to breach the bio-bubble when international cricket resumed with the Test series between England and West Indies.

He was then dropped from the team for the second Test and isolated for the next few days. Archer was only allowed to return to the bubble after he returned two negative COVID-19 tests. Meanwhile, the fans are enjoying the way Wasim Jaffer trolled the Australia Minister with a meme.
