No matter what the age is, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has fans of all ages. English all-rounder Ben Stokes is no different. The WWE had its Monday night RAW flagship event at London and Stokes absolutely didn’t miss a chance to attend it. He had his place reserved in the ‘Special Guests’.
The flagship event at the Newcastle saw Stokes walk up to the ring in a similar fashion in which the WWE players walk in. The background screen had a video being played that displayed his heroics on the field. He received a warm welcome from the crowd. He could not hide his joy after watching the warm ovation that he received and the excitement among the crowds was evident too.
During the event and the days that followed, Ben Stokes bonded big time with WWE wrestlers Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, and Ryback. The WWE later also posted a video of The Miz trying his hands at cricket on their official twitter handle. The video had The Miz hit a stationary ball, much like a golf swing, though, as Stokes watched from the background.
The English Cricket Board (ECB) posted pics of the cricketer with the wrestlers. He was also seen with the big guy ‘Ryback’ in a pic clicked at the backstage.
