Watch: Captain Virat Kohli makes merry while answering a critic

Virat Kohli had his share of a bad performance with the bat in front of his home crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium when he was run-out by Chris Jordan. However, in spite of this, some terrific batting from MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina ensured that the Indians went ahead and claimed a win and a massive one at that.

However, despite the spotlight being well and truly on Yuzvendra Chahal, it was well and truly on the Indian skipper who did not quite make it happen with the bat on the day. A journalist once again probed the Indian skipper on his opening slot occupation to which Kohli had a rather funny and sarcastic answer for the same.

Speaking about the same, Kohli took on a comparison from the time he opened for his Indian Premier League franchise the Royal Challengers Bangalore wherein he impressed with four centuries to his name. Moreover, the fact of the matter was that it was considered a revelation at the time.

‘Jab main RCB ke lie opening kia tha and chaar hundred banaye the tab kisi ne kuch nahi bola, abhi do match mein run nahi bane to problem ho gayi’ (when I opened the innings for RCB and slammed four tons then no one raised questions over my batting position, but now that I have failed with the bat in two innings then there is a problem with the slot), said Kohli.

Sabkuch main hi kar lunga to baaki 10 player kya karenge’ (if I will do everything then what will the other ten players do), said the Indian skipper in the most sarcastic way possible.

“I am more happy about the team winning the series and I am not at all concerned about my batting slot,” said Kohli.
