Martin Guptill catch in CPL T20 league

In the last few years revolution has been brought in the way the game of cricket has been played. Along with improved condition, training you have the fast growth of Twenty twenty cricket to credit. The game changes so quick that a catch or a six can turn the course of action upside down.

Martin Guptil is one of those active, radiant’s on the field, always on his toes to sprint, jump, dive to stop or catch the ball. It was one such occasion in the Caribbean Primer League game between St Lucia and Guyana Guptil took an amazing stunner on the fence.
The game was in a strong hold of St Lucia with the score of 166-3 on the board in 17.4 overs and Kevin Petersen at the strike. He had struck two big sixes in the over and was looking in dangerous touch for more beating. A short ball, is always an invitation to hit, KP took it head on and pulled it with some meat behind it. At first instance it looked good enough to travel all the way.
Martin Guptil stood in between the ball and the boundary, sheer brilliance you can call it. Threw himself into the air at least 3 feet and took this stunner. Not only the batsman even the bowler and his fellow team mates were pleasantly surprised. We have seen quite a few catches now when players throw the ball hop out and back into the boundary to complete the catch. This was different and thus amazes us even more, it required him just one attempt to take it and dismiss Petersen. Also see Watch: Pollard takes a Blinder to send back Cooper to the Pavilion
