Watch: When George Bailey blasted 28 runs off Anderson’s over: Whenever someone takes the name of George Bailey, we get an outright image of a cricketer who is loved by everyone. He is the neutral’s favorite son and is a guy who always wears a glorious smile on his face. With a glittering smile on his face he sometimes makes people believe that he is the biggest follower of the popular saying “Be humble in victories and gracious in defeats”. One of the most likeable personalities on the cricket field, Bailey possesses destructive abilities with the willow in hand which makes his personality even more enriching.

The former Aussie limited overs skipper; Bailey didn’t have that productive time in Test cricket but yet he had his day of glory in Perth when he had blasted James Anderson for 28 runs in an over which is also the second highest number of runs scored by a cricketer in an over as far as Test matches are concerned.

On the first ball of the over, he had slashed a four over Cook’s head in the slip cordon. While the second ball of the over went sailing for a big six over Anderson’s head down the ground. The third ball was a perfect Yorker by Anderson and as a result Bailey could manage only 2 runs off the ball. While on the fourth ball, he flicked the ball with his supple wrists in the leg side region which pierced the gap as ball went for another boundary.

While on the fifth ball of the over, he played a superlative shot over the head of the long-off fielder and the ball cleared the ropes easily. The sixth and final delivery of the over was a length ball and Bailey didn’t have any problems in dispatching it over mid-on fielder for another big six.
