The team in Gold playing at home at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Stadium (MCG) beat co-hosts of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and trans-Tasman neighbors New Zealand in the final to win their 5^th world champions status. Following the win, as celebrations started at the MCG, the broadcasters arranged all their resources to get as many interviews as possible. And one of those was of the explosive Glenn Maxwell; while answering the questions Maxie saw Sachin Tendulkar walk towards the centre stage, he left the interview mid way and ran his way towards the Legend, had a quick word, gave him a hug and made his way back.

Sachin who was the Ambassador of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 was specially invited to give away awards at the post match presentation ceremony which included the prestigious Player of the Tournament award. And he was making his way to the stage for the same while Maxwell spotted the Legendary batsman

These are scenes every cricket fan would love and cherish; opponents they were and sportsmen belonging to opposite aspects rarely gel together well. But as we all know the level of respect the former Indian cricketer Sachin enjoys is almost unparallel in the world of cricket.

He has fans across the world, an entire generation of cricketers, most of the ones playing the game today would agree to have watched him play, got inspired from him to join the game. And if that man is walking across your way, I am sure every one of us would react in similar fashion.

Maxwell, the Big Show here showed utmost respect not only for Sachin but also displayed the spirit of the game which teaches playing the sport with the toughest commitment and dedication but at the same time not owning hard feelings for each other off it.
