Batsmen are sometimes very funny. There have been many instances when the guys wth the bat in hand have acted really weird and have got out in a funny manner. Here in this video, New South Wales Blues were playing South Australian Redbacks in the Ford Ranger Cup. NSW tail-ender Grant Lambert was batting at a score of 4 runs off 5 balls with Steven O’Keefe at the other end. The match was into its 49th over and NSW were at a total of 253/6. Shaun Tait was ready to begin the over as Lambert took strike. It was obvious that the batsman would have tried to turn aggressive and add quick runs to his team’s total.

But, what happened next will leave you stupefied. Lambert tried to makes some room for himself and moved aside (maybe with an intention to wildly hit a big shot). But, he walks across too much and leaves all his three stumps fully visible.

He moved very early. Shaun Tait had enough time to watch him and so he bowled a full toss that swung in the air and without finding any obstructions crashed onto the middle stump. The batsman could do nothing apart from just watching the ball striking his stumps. He stood next to scene as if he was frozen for the moment.

Tait reacted to this simple wicket with a small grin as Lambert started walking back to the dressing room. This easy wicket added one more victim to Tait’s tally who already had three to his name in that match. This dismissal yet again reminds us that how some batsmen find weird ways to get out which makes them look completely foolish.
