Although it is indeed true that Misbah-ul-Haq does not play international T20 and One-Day cricket anymore, his ability to play the big shots as well as play the quick innings is something that is most certainly an understatement. What’s worse is that if he gets going while playing the big shots, he is unstoppable. Period.
Playing in a charity match at Oslo, Norway for his old Pakistan teammate Abdul Razzaq, Misbah’s stage was set. Although it was a charity match and a fundraiser at the same, the remoteness of the ground was something of a romantic yet perfect setting to play a game of cricket. What was more interesting was the simple fact that there was little or no publicity for the match as Misbah turned out for the Razzaq XI against the World XI. He smashed the ball to different parts of the ground as he brought up his century in just 34 deliveries. Although it definitely is one of the fastest tons ever, it is clear that this will not find its way to any record books, it would be alright to assume that Misbah would have certainly been rejuvenating for Misbah.
The Pakistani skipper, who is currently 42 years of age wants to be a part of the Pakistan outfit until he is at least 50 years of age.
