It was an action packed day at Abu Dhabi. England went from being 182/3 overnight to 242 all out. Wahab Riaz bowled an inspiring spell of ferocious fast bowling to bring England on their knees.
Subsequently, Pakistan came into bat with a 136 runs lead and Younis Khan was operating in the middle after Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik and Hafeez departed.
Misbah was batting well while English spinner Adil Rashid was toiling hard to find another breakthrough for his team Misbah, who was batting nicely at 28 showed a glimpse of his presence of mind while batting.
Adil Rashid was bowling yet again at Misbah. As the ball arrived at him, Misbah readied himself to play a sweep shot. James Anderson standing at slip quickly moved towards leg slip after noticing Misbah kneel down to play the shot. Jos Buttler also anticipated the same and moved leg side in a flash.
However, Misbah had different things in his mind. He changed his shot at the last moment and nicked the ball into the slip region left empty by Anderson. The ball went past through the gap but could not reach the boundary as Stuart Broad reached for the ball at the right time. Misbah rushed for an immediate single leaving Anderson with a cheeky grin on his face.
Everyone was amused in Pakistan dressing room including Waqar Younis who began laughing at the funny incident.
