Watch: The MS Dhoni biopic gets a Telugu flavor

MS Dhoni and his biopic have become the talk of the town lately. While this has certainly been the case with the worldwide release as well the nationwide release expected to release soon. While it may seem somewhat premature that the 35-year old already has a biopic before his retirement, it is clear that the box office is set to blow up with the movie. However, in what seems to be somewhat of a surprise, it seems to be that the producers have decided to release a Telugu version as well, something that is certain to appeal to those folks in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The trailer which has been viewed in excess of 4 million people is expected to gross box office records, to say the least. The story as well-documented traverses the life of charismatic Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. From the trailer, it is clear that the movie is indeed an inspirational one and is also expected to traverse the path taken by MS Dhoni towards his claim to fame.

Shortly after the 2007 World Cup debacle which saw India ousted for the first time in World Cup history, the board decided to appoint Dhoni as the skipper of the Indian limited overs’ side, a position he has managed to hold onto for almost 10 years now. Since then, India has been supremely successful winning a plethora of tournaments. The film consummates with Dhoni’s epic 91 he scored against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in the final of the World Cup 2011.
