The Mauka-Mauka ad is back! The ICC World T20 2016 has brought back the famous Start sports advertisement which was first seen during the last years ICC Cricket World Cup. This actually happens to be the third version of the advert. The first series was run during the 50 overs world cup. The Mauka-Mauka man again made an appearance on the television set during the Mahatma Gandhi Nelson Mandela Trophy in India.

The ad begins with the die-hard Pakistan fan bringing out his favorite 1992 World Cup winning jersey and the firecracker. He decides to personally convey his feelings and message to the Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi with a video message. Showing his annoyance and unhappiness with the repeated failures, he now urges his skipper to forget about everything else and show the Indian team what the Pakistan team is truly capable of doing.

He finally calls out his son and asks Afridi to at least end the winning streak for his son and other young followers.

“Hamari to umar ho gayi hai, kam se kam inke liye hi kar do yaara” he says with emotions clearly evident in his eyes.

Pakistan has a very dismal head to head record in the World Cups against India. Pakistan has lost on all four occasions they have India in the World T20. India also maintains a 0-6 clean sheet in the 50 overs mega event. This fact is the plot of this advertisement were an ardent Pakistan cricket fans is waiting for his chance to celebrate Pakistan’s win against India. Unfortunately, until now, he has got no opportunity to do so.

However, on March 19, all the Pakistani supporters including the gentleman in the advert will have another hope of seeing their favorite team Pakistan ending this losing streak when they meet India at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
