Team India have started their preparations for the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy on a high. They beat the New Zealand side in their first warm-up game at the Kennington Oval recently. It was a rain-marred encounter that saw India coming out triumphs by 45 runs. Skipper Virat Kohli was a mighty pleased man with the efforts of the team. Hence, it came as no surprise to see Kohli share his happiness with the fans.

Soon after the game, Virat Kohli was seen signing the autographs for the fans from the team balcony. The fans cheered him and the team India and gave whatever they had to get the autograph from Virat. The Indian captain obliged and signed a few autographs for the fans. The official social media handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video of the same.

They even added a caption to the video and wrote, “#CT17 warm-up match – After India won on D/L, the skipper @imVkohli obliged the fans #INDvNZ”.

Earlier in the game, The Kiwi team bundled out for a mere 189 in 38.4 overs. All Indian bowlers except Hardik Pandya had a good outing with the ball. Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar scalped 3 wickets each to put the Kiwi team on the back foot. For the black caps, Luke Ronchi top scored with 66 to his name.

Team India had a poor start to their run chase as they lost Ajinkya Rahane cheaply. Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli then shared a decent partnership to put India in firm command of the run chase. Dhawan perished after scoring 40 off 59 balls. In the end, India finished with 129/3 in 26 overs when the rain intervened. Skipper Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 52 off 55 balls with 6 fours to his name. India won the match by 45 runs by DLS method.
