The Cricketing world was up for a treat as the first match of the Cricket All Stars between the Warne’s Warriors and Sachin’s Blasters took place in New York. It was pure bliss to see the greats of the game enjoying and having a blast throughout the match.

Once again, the fans witnessed Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag opening together. The fact that they were to face Wasim Akram upfront reminded so much of the World Cup 2003 India vs Pakistan game. All eyes were fixed on the Master Blaster, but it was his partner who caused havoc from the other end.

Viru did what he has been doing for all these years which is providing a wonderful start for his team at a quick rate. He took on Donald and Walsh smashing them all over the park and it didn’t look like he has just retired from the game.

Virender Sehwag completed a brilliant half century in just 20 balls but soon got out to Vettori. His final tally read as 55 from 23 balls in which he hit 3 fours and 6 sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 250!

Although, the others couldn’t support the team once Viru got out and Warne’s Warriors won the first game comfortably.
