‘We once had a fight and I tore apart all the posters of Sachin Tendulkar’ – Huma Qureshi narrates a childhood fight with brother
Like million other cricket fans on the planet Earth, Bollywood actor Saqib Saleem was a die-hard fan of Sachin Tendulkar.

Throughout his cricket career, the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar remained a fan-favorite. The former Indian skipper is considered nothing less than a demi-god in India and enjoys a massive fan-following. Though Sachin played his last international fixture in November 2013, he is followed by many budding cricketers and holds a special place in India’s cricket fraternity.
The credit for Sachin’s massive popularity goes to his exemplary performance for over two decades on the international stage. The right-hander made his debut in November 1989 in a Test match against Pakistan and went on to script many new records. Tendulkar’s illustrious career saw him collecting a staggering 15,921 runs in 200 Test matches along with 18,426 runs in 463 One Day Internationals.

Saleem was so crazy about Sachin during his childhood that he pasted the batting maestro’s posters on the walls of his room. Recently, Saqib along with his sister and Bollywood diva Huma Qureshi made an appearance on the famous chat show, ‘Yaaron Ki Baraat’ hosted by Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.

During the show, the hosts posed a question to Huma and Saqib to know if they used to break each other’s things during a fight in childhood. Answering the query, the actress revealed that once she and Saqib had a huge fight and she was annoyed due to the same. So, to take revenge on her brother, she went to his room and tore apart all the posters of the Master Blaster pasted on the wall.
“Shakib is a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar, he had big posters of Sachin in his room. We once had a fight and I tore apart all the posters in his room,” said Huma. “You tore apart Sachin’s posters?” – asked Sajid in a joking way after Huma’s revelations. The actress was quick to respond and said “I love Sachin”.
The narration by the Bollywood actress waa followed by Saqib making a revelation that Huma was a great admirer of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and had his posters in her room. So to get back at his sister, Saqib removed Afridi’s posters from Huma’s room.
“When we were growing up, Shahid Afridi had made his debut for Pakistan and he enjoyed great female following. He used to have long hair which used to flow when he bowled. Huma also had 3-4 posters of him which I tore apart,” said Saqib.
