Australia is all set to host the T20 World Cup 2022 this year and the defending champions will be looking to add another title to their kitty. With all the T20 World Cup squads announced, the tournament this year is expected to be nothing but entertaining.
The First Round will get underway from October 16. Quite surprisingly the two-time champions West Indies missed out on the direct entry to Super 12. They are placed alongside Ireland, Scotland and Zimbabwe for First Round fixtures as per the T20 World Cup schedule and are expected to qualify for the Super 12 stage.
Over the years, Ireland have produced fantastic results and will be looking to take a leaf out of their historic wins in the past. They will have a tough opponent in the qualifying stages in the form of West Indies and the two teams will meet on October 21.
