When MS Dhoni owned a hater with a bossy reply

The former Indian captain MS Dhoni is known for his smartness on the field but he has often done it off the field as well proving his presence of mind. He has been the most successful captain for India and ruled the cricketing world with his captaincy before relinquishing it earlier this year. He is the only leader in the world to have won the World T20, Champions Trophy and 50-over World Cup.

Even after serving the country with full determination, there are some who hate him. One such hater tried to troll him on social media but the master of calmness once again brought his smartness to the fore and shut him down with a wonderful reply.

We have often seen players and celebrities going out in a full-on war of words on social networking sites with people who criticize them or hate them, but Dhoni is definitely not one to initiate a war. He mostly keeps himself away from social media and prefers to go through his routine like he does on the field. He has not even sledged the opposition players ever while wicketkeeping, in fact, he is seen chatting with the batsmen in a friendly space.

Rewinding back to 2012

Let us go back to the year 2012 when India had just won the World Cup in the limited overs format a year ago and Dhoni was no less than the most loved player in the country. He took to Twitter to post a witty message regarding women, “@beingashu79: @msdhoni The only person to whom a woman listens is a photographer “but only after giving her input, this is funny.” However, a fan replied to him saying that he was forgetting the person who sells the fancy items on telebrands.

But the user with account name ‘frozen_mirage’ turned the conversation into a personal banter and posted, “@gautambalgi I hope @msdhoni knows there are many ppl who hate him. I am one of them.” Any cricketer or celebrity would have been miffed with such a tweet.

The hater also must have hoped the same but the man who possesses a sea of calm inside him came up with a mouth shutting reply to ‘frozen_mirage’ to which he never responded until today. Dhoni’s reply read, “@ishangodbole well u may not like me but hate is a very strong word to be used anyways its ur choice so I won’t complain.”
